RVF
Friend of IWCA
The RVF is a non-profit organisation dedicated to restoring soil health in the world’s vineyards, reintroducing biodiversity and sequestering carbon. It is an active group of wine producers, scientists, ecologists and consultants, committed to showing how wine production can be a positive force for change in agriculture. Its mission is to support a transition away from a chemical based monocultural agriculture that is degenerative to soil and local ecosystems, towards a regenerative agriculture, and for greater biodiversity in viticulture to become the new conventional. It aims to:
· Bring together RV practitioners, researchers and leaders to further the cause of restoring soil health in the world’s vineyards
· Facilitate scientific research into the environmental and economic benefits of RV
· Provide information and support for producers, wherever they are on their regenerative journey
· Educate about RV via seminars, workshops, social media events, talks and resources
· Raise awareness of RV and its benefits with wine producers and growers, farmers, retailers, educators, journalists and the general public
RV is not a new or revolutionary way of farming. It is a way to describe farming principles that are restorative rather than extractive, working with nature rather than against it.
