About
Puklavec Family Wines
The Puklavec family’s passion for wine dates back to 1934 in Slovenia, when Martin Puklavec set out to create exceptional wines together as a family. That vision still guides Puklavec Family Wines today. The wines are produced in the Ljutomer-Ormož region in north-eastern Slovenia, where a unique microclimate provides ideal conditions for grape growing. The gravity-fed winery holds the highest IFS certification scores and recently achieved a 95% rating under Global G.A.P. and GRASP sustainability standards. Puklavec Family Wines farms 840 hectares of vineyards, 522 of which are family-owned, spread across rolling hills at 250–350 meters altitude.
